Adding effects to your images in Prezi from now!

From now on you won’t need a photo editing program anymore to edit your images, because you can do this all in Prezi with the new function “Effects”. Give your image a nice effect or add a frame to it. Is your photo too light or too dark? No problem. Just edit it in Prezi!

How?
That’s really easy! Click on the image you want to edit and after click the appearing menu or “Effects”. A new window will open so you can start editing your image by yourself.

Important:
You’ll only see the first three options with a free account. To see every option you’ll need a Pro or EDU Pro account. The options you’ll get to see at a free account are: Enhance, Effects and Frames.

Today we’ll check out the option “Effects”. As example we found a pretty image of a Dutch mill. Of course this mill is already a lot of years old, but what did it look like ages ago? We’re about to find out.

In the top part of your screen you see all different miniatures of the original image with an effect. Choose the effect you’d like to adjust on your image and choose Apply. You changed your mind? No problem. Just click Cancel.

When you clicked Apply you’ll get back to the first menu. Click Save to save the effect and place your image into your prezi. That’s how easy it is, editing and adjusting effects on your images in Prezi!

So, with a Pro account you have some more options. Below you can find a brief explanation about all the effects:

All license types:

Enhance

  • High-Def: Sharpes and defines your image.
  • Illuminate: Fixes lightning issues.
  • Color Fix: Performs colors in a perfect way.

Effects: You can choose from a lot different filters with this option, which you can apply on your image. Above we’ve already told you how to adjust these effects on your image.

Frames: Add frames to your images to let them stand out more.

Options for Pro and Edu Pro Licences:

Focus: Focus on a certain part of your image, by using a circle or square.

Warmth: Give your image a warm tint by dragging the slider to the right and a cool tint by dragging the slider to the left.

Brightness: Is your image a little bit too light or too dark? No problem. Using this option will solve it.

Contrast: Give your images a little bit more or less contrast by dragging the slider.

Saturation: Do you want more color, or black and white? Change the saturation of your image with the slider.

Sharpness: Isn’t your image sharp enough? Use the slider at the top part of your screen to give your image more or less sharpness.

Splash: This is a really nice option! You can get black and white images with colored elements with this tool. When you choose this option your image will turn black and white automatically. Use one of the following options to color the elements:

  • Free color: This option allows you to bring back all color when applied.
  • Smart color: This option only brings back one color at the time.
  • Eraser: Use the eraser to change the colors back to black and white.

Redeye: Use this option to erase red eyes of an image. Click on the red eyes to erase them. Be aware: this option only erases red spots. With another color this option won’t work.

Whiten: Use this option to brighten white parts in an image. You can control the size of your brush in the top of your screen.

Blemish: You can erase blemishes with this option. Click with the brush on the part of the image you’d like to vague. You can control the size of your brush in the top of your screen.

The best way to get to know the effects is by using them. Open a new prezi, add some images and get started! If you have any questions about the effects or the use, please contact us. We’d love to help.
